Peer Mentorship
The Outstanding Scholars Peer Mentorship Program connects first-year Outstanding Scholar Candidates with experienced upper-year Outstanding Scholars so you can settle in faster, feel supported, and make the most of everything OS offers.
What it’s about
Starting university comes with new expectations, new routines, and a lot of “Am I doing this right?” moments. Peer Mentorship is a friendly, low-pressure way to ask questions, get practical advice, and build community early.
What you’ll get
- Trusted peer support to answer quick easy questions
- Practical strategies for studying, time management, balancing academics, and finding extracurriculars
- Strategies to navigate opportunities in research, leadership, and campus life
- Confidence and connection
Mentors can also discuss planning for research pathways, leadership experiences, and building a strong foundation for life after graduation.
