In accordance with Article 12:01 of the CUPE 4580 Collective Agreement the Department of Economics invites applications for GA positions for the Fall and Winter terms each year. The total number of Graduate Assistantships allocated to the Department of Economics varies each term.
How to Apply:
- You do not need to wait for the list of courses to apply for a position. You can apply at any time up to the deadline date using the application form below.
- The application ("student_application_employment_economics_ga_ta_update_w24") is attached below. It is a fillable pdf form. You will need to download it to your computer, fill it in, add your digital signature, and email it in. Instructions are on page 2 of the form.
- Please submit your completed application to the Economics Graduate Secretary via email to this address kristy.grant@uwindsor.ca . After you submit your application via email you should receive an emailed confirmation of receipt. If you do not receive the confirmation within several business days, your application has not been received. Please email again.
- Currently registered students must apply from their @uwindsor.ca email address.
All GA positions are subject to sufficient enrolment and final budgetary approval. Each GA position can be comprised of a combination of any of the listed courses as needed, to a maximum of 140 hours per position.
Hiring decisions for each term will be made soon after the deadline. The Economics Graduate Director may interview new applicants if needed. All applicants will be contacted regarding hiring decisions. If you are not contacted regarding your application or an interview by 2 days after the deadline, please email the Graduate Secretary at kristy.grant@uwindsor.ca .
Important Info for Fall 2024:
- The deadline to apply for the GA positions for Fall 2024 is July 12, 2024 at 11:59 pm.
- Applications will not be accepted after the deadline.
- Additional details about Fall 2024 opportunities including the list of courses that may may utilize Graduate Assistants, will be posted by the end of June.
