To complete any of the iBio degrees at the University of Windsor, you will participate in hands-on exercises in teaching labs and in the field. All of the five 1st and 2nd year BIOL Biology core courses include a weekly three hour lab (or field) experience, and there are many other required and optional courses that include a laboratory component. When reviewing and/or choosing courses for your degree (note that all BIOL- courses ending in “0” are lecture courses, those ending in “1” include a lab component, and those ending in “2” include a tutorial component.
During your degree there are other opportunities that allow you to work in a research lab, such as completing an Undergraduate Thesis, volunteering in a research lab, or applying to be an Outstanding Scholar. For more information, go to Experiential Opportunities and Resources.
