The Green Offices program empowers staff and faculty to help drive positive change in support of the campus' Sustainability Framework. Participants play an active role in fostering a culture of sustainability through supporting existing initiatives and introducing new practices within their department, faculties, and offices.
Opportunities range from sustainable event planning and hosting clothing swaps or donation drives, to improving day-to-day office operations, from transitioning to electronic files to reduce printing, making sustainable office purchasing decisions (e.g. local, recycled content, socially conscious and ethical, durable, etc.), and minimizing waste. Big or small actions, the possibilities are endless.
Participation also offers valuable benefits including developing practical sustainability skills and knowledge, making a meaningful and positive impact on campus, and strengthening staff engagement and connections within and across departments.
