Human Rights Policy Consultation

Please Share Your Feedback By September 30, 2025

The University of Windsor is inviting members of the campus community to provide feedback on the Human Rights Policy.

The Human Rights policy is undergoing a routine review to ensure it continues to reflect the needs of the University’s diverse community. This process allows for updates based on input, helping ensure that the Human Rights Policy remains responsive, equitable, and aligned with the University’s values—as well as the commitments and priorities outlined in its strategic plan, Aspire.

The Human Rights Policy was approved in 1997 and last reviewed and amended in 2021. Since its introduction, several related University of Windsor policies have been developed—including those addressing harassment, violence, sexual misconduct, and anti-racism. As a result, this review process may also provide streamlining and alignment opportunities.

The information gathered though this process along with emerging next steps will be forwarded to the appropriate Board of Governors’ committee.
