Graduate students registered in a University of Windsor graduate program, and in good academic standing, are welcome to apply to the Graduate Diploma in University Teaching. Applicants must provide:
- Date of Expected Graduation from the Primary Degree Program
- Curriculum Vita
- Personal Statement (500-750 Words):
- What interests you about teaching in higher education?
- What do you hope to achieve by taking this program?
- How do you see this program complementing your primary degree?
Past teaching experiences or specific pre-requisites are not required. Program enrolment will be limited to 20 students annually to allow for experiential learning opportunities (teaching, designing assessments, developing courses, etc.) and multiple opportunities to engage in small group discussion, and provide and receive ongoing feedback. Preference will be given to students who are required to complete the GDiP in University Teaching as a component of their primary degree or who are enrolled in UWindsor PhD programs. Applications will be considered on a case-by-case basis.
We recommend that you consult with your supervisor in your primary program before applying to this program.
