Lloyd Dean Moot

Saturday, March 5, 2022 - 09:30 to 11:30

The Lloyd Dean Moot will take place on Saturday, March 5, 2022 via an online platform. Preliminary Round Judges are required to be available from 9:30 am – 11:30 am, and are welcome to join us for the Final Round and Awards Ceremony, which will take place from 1:30 pm – 3:30 pm.

Organized by the Black Law Students’ Association at Windsor Law, the Lloyd Dean Moot is a free entry-level oral advocacy competition for undergraduate students interested in law. By participating in the Lloyd Dean Moot, students can compete in a beginner-friendly tournament, gain introductory lawyering skills, and network with law students, law professors, legal practitioners and sitting justices.

Mooting is a competition that requires you to read a hypothetical scenario, research the legal issues, write legal arguments and present them before a panel of judges who will interrupt you with questions that you must defend.

Registration for the 3nd Annual Lloyd Dean Moot is now closed.

We invite you to join us for the panel discussion, final round and awards ceremony. Please follow @blsawindsor on Twitter and Instagram for continued updates, and we look forward to you participating next year.
