The International Law Society presents the first installment of the International Law Series on Wednesday, January 27 at 9 am in G101. Timbits and treats will be provided, so please RSVP on Facebook or by email to kathleen.behan@uwindsor.ca.
The first guest speaker in the series will be Lynn Hastings, the current Senior Advisor for the UN Peacekeeping Force in Cyprus. Here, she works with both communities (including civilian authorities, police and military) to maintain calm, and to promote inter-communal activities. She provides advice to the head of mission on a wide range of peacekeeping issues and to the Force Commander and the UN Police Commissioner and oversees coordination of the work of the mission overall. On top of this, Mrs. Hastings brings a rich history in international law, and has held many interesting and prestigious positions. For a full biography, see the event page.
