University of Windsor graduate Clark Wiebe (MBA '18) is helping drive the rapid expansion of one of Windsor’s fastest-growing business groups—Coachwood Group—and leading the turnaround of a major consumer brand.

Wiebe joined Coachwood in 2018 as a sales representative and now serves as chief operating officer.

He played a central role in reviving BioSteel, a bankrupt sports drink brand that became profitable within six months of acquisition.

“I’m the glue between big ideas and making them happen,” said Wiebe, who acts as the operational link between the company’s founder and execution teams across departments.

Coachwood Group has grown from fewer than 20 employees to nearly 150, with projections to reach 250 by the end of 2025. Wiebe credits the region’s “scrappy, workhorse mentality” and the value of a strong business education for the company’s success.

The company maintains close ties with the University of Windsor, partnering with Lancers Football, collaborating with students from the Odette School of Business and hiring more than 50 students in part-time and full-time roles.

Wiebe encourages aspiring professionals to take initiative.

“Find someone doing what you want to do and get close to them," he said.

"Be persistent, creative and don’t let rejection stop you. Initiative makes a lasting impression.”
