Students polishing resumés and exploring career options will soon have the chance to engage directly with employers at the UWindsor Career Expo.

Hosted by the University of Windsor Career Centre, the UWindsor Career Expo will take place Wednesday, March 25, from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the Dennis Fairall Fieldhouse in the Toldo Lancer Centre.

The event is free and exclusive to UWindsor students and recent alumni.

It will bring together a wide variety of employer exhibitors from across engineering, science, technology, business, health, public and social services, hospitality and recreation.

The Expo is designed to give students the opportunity to connect directly with organization representatives, explore career paths and learn about available opportunities.

“The Career Expo is about more than handing out resumes. It’s a chance for students to ask questions, build relationships, and explore potential career paths,” said Krista Kelly, manager of the University of Windsor Career Centre. “The University recognizes how important these connections are, particularly in a competitive labour market, and is proud to create opportunities for students and alumni to engage directly with employers.”

Students can register through Eventbrite.

Attendees must bring their UWindsor student card to gain entry.

To make the most of the experience, attendees are encouraged to dress professionally, research employer exhibitors in advance and come prepared to engage in meaningful conversations. A strong first impression matters.

The Career Centre emphasizes that professional communication is key and offers resources to help students prepare and feel confident. These include guidance on introducing yourself, the importance of researching the organizations in advance, and how to make the most of the short time with each employer.

Students are encouraged to attend a ‘Preparing for the Career Expo’ workshop available on three different dates in advance of the event. Sign up is available by clicking on your preferred date:

March 10 at 8:30 a.m.

March 18 at 4 p.m.

March 20 at 12 p.m.

As the event approaches, students can check the Expo website for updates, including a list of registered employers and posted opportunities.

With dozens of organizations under one roof and hours dedicated to conversation and connection, the UWindsor Career Expo offers students direct access to employer representatives from across multiple sectors.
