Q: How would you describe what Indigenous allyship means to you?

The return of the fall semester brings Windsor Lancers teams back to competition, with student-athletes representing the University of Windsor at home and on the road throughout the 2026–27 season.

Soccer and football seasons are already underway, while basketball, volleyball and hockey teams will begin competition in the weeks ahead.

Dr. Linda Rohr will serve a second five-year term as Dean of the Faculty of Human Kinetics beginning July 1.

Cricket may be the second most popular sport globally — after soccer — but until this summer, UWindsor cricket players had few options on campus to set up their wickets. 

All that will change this summer as the Graduate Student Society (GSS), with support from the Faculty of Human Kinetics, the Faculty of Engineering and the Odette School of Business, opens a newly renovated cricket pitch on campus. 

Families planning summer activities for their children can soon secure a spot in the University of Windsor’s Lancer Summer Camps.

Mark your calendars as registration opens Tuesday, April 7 at 7 a.m.

Lancer Summer Camps offer a variety of programs designed to keep kids aged four to 13 years old active, engaged and having fun throughout the summer.

The swimming lanes will be full, the spin studio will be buzzing and the running track will echo with beats and cheers on Sunday, March 29 as the Toldo Lancer Centre hosts the second annual Move for Mason Triathlon.

Presented by Exercise Is Medicine – On Campus and Lancer Recreation, the high-energy indoor event supports the Fight Like Mason Foundation and its work advancing childhood cancer programs in our community.

Students polishing resumés and exploring career options will soon have the chance to engage directly with employers at the UWindsor Career Expo & Job Fair.

The campus community is reminded that the Toldo Lancer Centre (TLC) will be closed from Dec. 24 until Jan. 2, 2026, reopening Saturday, Jan. 3.

TLC and Lancer Rec staff look forward to welcoming Lancers and community guests back for a new term of activity and recreation.

Winter programming is already gearing up.

Registration for intramural leagues is now open, featuring returning favourites alongside new leagues in pickleball, futsal and dodgeball.

After two serious heart events, retiree Tony Cimarosti is on the right track. His cardiologist is happy with the progress — and so is he.

Twice a week, Cimarosti, 66, attends the Cardiac Wellness Program at the Toldo Lancer Centre (TLC), working on his heart health alongside others who have gone through similar experiences.

“My cardiologist always gives me great reports,” he shared. “At every check-in, he tells me everything looks good and that he’ll see me next year. I like hearing that.”
