For kinesiology professor Chad Sutherland, the phrase “volunteer work” is a misnomer. 

“I don’t really view it as work,” he says. 

“I view it as something everyone should be doing: getting involved and helping in the things that you love to do, whether that’s bringing expertise to an area or offering an extra set of hands. It’s all important, and we need it more than ever right now.”

Windsor Lancers men's and women's basketball and hockey teams are set for action this weekend.

From hockey to basketball, there’s plenty of blue and gold action to take in.

Lancers’ fans are invited to come out, make some noise and cheer your Lancers to victory.

The action kicks off Friday, Nov. 7 at the Toldo Lancer Centre (TLC) as the Guelph Gryphons take on the women’s and men’s basketball teams at 6 and 8 p.m.

Over at the Capri Pizzeria Recreation Complex, the Windsor Lancers women’s hockey takes on the Carleton Ravens with puck drop set for 7:30 p.m.

The University of Windsor has reappointed Debbie Sheppard-LeMoine to a second five-year term as dean of the Faculty of Nursing.

The renewal recognizes her leadership in strengthening the faculty’s academic excellence, research profile and global partnerships since 2019. Under her direction, the faculty earned the maximum seven-year accreditation from the Canadian Association of Schools of Nursing for all undergraduate programs.
