WINDSOR, Ont. — Windsor will glow blue and gold as University of Windsor alumni return, reconnect and share their stories during Alumni Week, Sept. 28 to Oct. 3.
Windsor City Hall, Caesars Windsor and downtown decorative lights will join the celebration Oct 1 to 3, putting Lancer pride on display across the city as alumni take part in events and storytelling throughout the week.
Alumni will be invited to reconnect both in person and online by sharing their UWindsor stories, memories and milestones.
Through the Then. Now. Always a Lancer campaign, graduates can reflect on where their University journey began, where it has taken them and the connection they continue to have with UWindsor. Alumni from families with generations of UWindsor graduates are also encouraged to share their Legacy Family stories.
Stories will be highlighted through the University’s @uwinalumni and @uwindsor social media channels, giving graduates near and far an opportunity to take part in the celebration.
The week culminates Saturday, Oct. 3, with the Alumni Tent and Lancer Football under the lights at Alumni Field. The Windsor Lancers will take on the York Lions at 7 p.m., bringing alumni, students and community members together for one of the week’s signature celebrations.
Alumni can purchase game tickets online through the Windsor Lancers website.
Alumni Week is designed to connect, inspire and engage graduates while celebrating the lasting relationships built through the University of Windsor.
Alumni are encouraged to update their contact information, share their story and visit the Alumni Week website for event details and ways to participate.
