WINDSOR, Ont. — The University of Windsor has officially started 3D printing Canada’s first net-zero, multi-storey student residence, marking a major milestone in sustainable construction and housing innovation.

Supported by a $2-million investment from the Government of Canada, through the Federal Economic Development Agency for Southern Ontario (FedDev Ontario), the project demonstrates how technology, research and collaboration can help address housing challenges while advancing environmental sustainability.

WINDSOR, Ont. — The University of Windsor’s Master of Sport Management and Leaderships (MSML) program has once again been ranked number one in Canada, according to the 2025 SportBusiness Postgraduate Course Rankings.  

For Jess Dixon, professor and department head in Kinesiology, the recognition validates the hard work that goes into not only the delivery of curriculum but in attracting and retaining the best possible students. 

Four Lancers to join Alumni Sports Hall of Fame

The University of Windsor Alumni Association and the Department of Athletics will welcome four new members to the Alumni Sports Hall of Fame next month.

The 2025 class includes standout Lancer athletes Corey Bellemore (track and field), Brian Jones (football and track and field), Parker Van Buskirk (hockey) and Gisele Poulin (track and field). They will be honoured during a ceremony on Sunday, Nov. 16, in Alumni Auditorium, CAW Student Centre.

WINDSOR, Ont. — Today, the University of Windsor held a ribbon cutting ceremony to celebrate Rodzik Hall, underscoring its commitment to expanding student housing and building strong community partnerships.

Rodzik Hall is named in recognition of a generous gift from Don & Gail Rodzik, who also named the adjoining dining hall.

“My family has always believed in giving back to the community that’s given us so much,” said Don Rodzik Sr. “We’re honoured to support a project that helps young people build their future right here in Windsor.”

WINDSOR, Ont. — The University of Windsor officially joined the Canadian Military, Veteran and Family Connected Campus Consortium (CMVF3C) today during a special signing ceremony at HMCS Hunter, reaffirming its commitment to supporting military-connected students and their families.

The event brought together military leaders, University officials, and community members to celebrate a shared vision of inclusive, student-focused education.

A partnership rooted in student innovation, experiential learning, and community impact was celebrated on July 17, 2025, as the University of Windsor and Windsor-Detroit Bridge Authority (WDBA) unveiled a scale model of the Gordie Howe International Bridge at the Ed Lumley Centre for Engineering Innovation. 

Faculty of Human Kinetics hosts “Lacrosse as Medicine”

The Faculty of Human Kinetics hosted “Lacrosse as Medicine” with Rain Whited, a member of the Oneida Nation of the Thames and former competitive lacrosse player for the Windsor Warlocks, Windsor Clippers, and Wallaceburg Red Devils.

The day began with Whited giving a guest lecture in the Ethics in Sport and Physical Activity course, followed by hands-on lacrosse workshops in the Dennis Fairall Fieldhouse.

Windsor Law Launches Transnational Arts & Entertainment Clinic
