TECUMSEH, Ont. — University of Windsor research, expertise and student learning will reach further into the community through a new partnership with the Town of Tecumseh designed to connect academic knowledge with local priorities and opportunities.

WINDSOR, Ont. — Students, researchers and faculty at the University of Windsor have a new pathway to turn ideas and research discoveries into ventures, technologies and community impact through Fusion, the University’s new Innovation and Entrepreneurship Network.

WINDSOR, Ont. — The University of Windsor is launching a new accelerated pathway to medical school that will allow qualified students from any undergraduate program to transition to the American Canadian School of Medicine (ACSOM) after as little as two years at UWindsor.

WINDSOR, Ont. — The University of Windsor has reached its highest-ever position in the QS World University Rankings, ranking third in Ontario among non-medical universities and placing among the world’s top 20 per cent for research impact.

University of Windsor names eighth President and Vice-Chancellor

WINDSOR, Ont. —  The University of Windsor’s Board of Governors approved today the appointment of Dr. J.J. (John-Justin) McMurtry as the eighth President and Vice-Chancellor, following an extensive search led by a committee that included Senate and Board of Governors representation. 

Dr. McMurtry’s appointment will take effect September 1, 2025, following the retirement of President Robert Gordon. Dr. Gordon has served as President and Vice-Chancellor since 2019 and will conclude his term after six years of dedicated and transformative leadership.
