FAQs: MAEP

 

The MA program is designed for those who are interested in pursuing PhD in Economics, while the MAEP program is more suitable for those who want to find jobs after graduation. Therefore, courses in MA program are more rigorous, and courses in MAEP are more applied in nature, preparing students for future careers.

No, we only have Fall intake. The deadline for Fall 2024 is May 1, 2024.

The program is 16-month long, consisting of four terms. It starts in Fall semester (September every year), then Winter semester, Summer semester, and the next Fall semester (ending in December the next year).

Yes, students graduated from our program are eligible for a 3-year PGWP.

We require a 4-year degree and at least one course in microeconomics, macroeconomics, econometrics/statistics, and calculus. You need at least 70% CGPA (Canadian equivalence).

We require an overall IELTS score of 6.5. We do not have a minimum requirement of individual components of IELTS.

There are no financial aid or TA positions for MAEP students. The current tuition rate for the program is $8062.5 per term for four terms, plus applicable fees.
