Fall 2023 South Asian Documentary Film Festival 
September 24-November 19.

This fall you are invited to join a celebration of the art of storytelling through documentary films. Every weekend from September 24 to November 19 the South Asian Documentary Film Festival will present selections from a collection of 20 award-winning documentaries featuring diverse narratives that reflect the rich culture of South Asia.

The festival is organized by the Department of Communication, Media and Film, the Transnational Law and Racial Justice Network, and Women and Gender Studies.

The festival kicks-off with an In-Person Screening
on Sunday, Sept. 24, 2:00 – 5:30pm,
at the SoCA Armouries,
37 University Ave. East.
Street parking is free in downtown Windsor on Sundays!

Free one-time registration gives you convenient access to the rest of the films online every weekend from September 29 until November 19. Online access begins each Friday at 4:00 PM and ends Sunday midnight.

Board of Governors' Medals are awarded to the graduating undergraduate students who have achieved the highest academic standing in their program. 

 

                                       Marshall McLuhan Scholarship

This scholarship is open to 1st year students in Communication, Media, and Film (general, honours, or combined honours) who started their studies at the University of Windsor in Fall 2022 and are in good standing.  
 
                                One $500 award for a student academic paper 
                                One $500 award for a student media production
