Abstract:
The United Arab Emirates is a country located in the Arabian Peninsula, and despite most of the population being international, the local Emirati culture is of rich heritage. UAE is significantly known for the city of Dubai, which is home to the tallest building in the world, the Burj Khalifa, as well as its beautiful city lights and glamorous lifestyle. The food ranges from their sweets like their signature Luqaimat to savouries like the Manakish. Apart from this, the locals practice a dance known as Iyala that’s done using sticks. There is so much to know about the Unites Arab Emirates, from the local culture to the luxurious lifestyle and technological advancements, and these aspects will be covered in this workshop.

Biography: 
Prithvika Babu is pursuing the Master’s in Applied Computing degree in the AI Stream. She has a minor specialization in computational intelligence from her Bachelors and has worked on several projects which involve facial recognition using CNNs. Having lived in the Middle East her whole life, she wishes to share her experience in the Arabian Peninsula with different folks from all around the world and learn more about their experiences as well.
