Research Ethics Board (REB)

According to the Tri-Council Policy Statement: Ethical Conduct for Research Involving Humans, all research involving human subjects in institutions that receive funding from the Natural Sciences and Engineering Research Council (NSERC), the Social Sciences and Humanities Research Council of Canada (SSHRC), and the Canadian Institutes of Health Research (CIHR), must be reviewed by the Research Ethics Board. This includes both funded and non-funded academic and administrative projects conducted by members of the University of Windsor (faculty, students, staff). Research being conducted by individuals outside the university but on the University campus, or its affiliated institutions/centres, also requires ethics clearance from the REB.

For further information on the University of Windsor's Research Ethics Board (REB), policies and procedures, REB submission and meeting deadlines, educational resources, and other information, please go to the REB website External Link.
