Workshops and events

The Engineering International Support Office (EISO) holds several free events and workshops for international students throughout the year. 

The EISO Immigration Workshops focus on Study Permits, Post Graduation Work Permits, Temporary Resident Visas and more.

Are you an international engineering student looking to improve your oral communication skills? Engineering Communications Support and International Student Advising have joined forces to present Eng Chat Room, a space with guided activities to promote conversation.

English Conversation Group  

  • Every Tuesday, 2:30 - 3:30pm EDT in Room 1162 Engineering Student Support Services Office for the Fall 2023 semester. 
  • Informal, guided discussions to help you make connections and become better oral communicators.

The new MEng Peer Mentor Program is designed to match returning MEng students with incoming MEng students to provide necessary support, engagement, and leadership.

Mentoring is an opportunity to Connect, Network, and Lead in promotion of student success.

Program Details 

  • Mentors will meet weekly with mentees through mutually set meetings to address questions, provide resources, and support student transition 
  • Mentors will promote campus events, support student orientation, and commit to training and program administration
