Our Commitment to Indigenous Student Success

The Indigenous Student Success Centre (ISSC) at University of Windsor is more than a service, it is a community rooted in support, belonging, and empowerment.

We are committed to ensuring Indigenous students feel respected, supported, and inspired to succeed throughout their academic journey, while continuing to advance reconciliation and meaningful change for future generations.

Supporting students’ mental, emotional, physical, and spiritual wellbeing through culturally grounded care and community connection.
Providing accessible supports and resources that encourage academic achievement and personal growth.
Helping students navigate their transition to university while fostering connection, belonging, and ongoing support.
Honouring and celebrating Indigenous cultures, languages, teachings, and identities within the campus community.
Advancing Indigenous perspectives, knowledge, and inclusion throughout university spaces, systems, and practices.
Supporting learning, awareness, and meaningful action guided by the Truth and Reconciliation Commission Calls to Action.
Building and strengthening relationships with Indigenous Nations, communities, organizations, and partners.
