Peer Mentor/Tutors Program

The implementation of a tutoring program would provide valuable academic support while strengthening community, confidence, and student wellbeing across campus.

By investing in tutoring supports, the University of Windsor continues its commitment to reconciliation, student success, and equitable access to education for Indigenous students.


Goals of the Tutoring Program

The proposed tutoring program aims to:

  • Support Indigenous student academic achievement and retention 
  • Provide accessible peer and professional tutoring opportunities 
  • Foster confidence, motivation, and student engagement 
  • Create culturally safe and welcoming learning environments 
  • Encourage holistic student wellness through academic support 
  • Build connections between students, tutors, and campus resources
