Michael Alvaro is Director, Legal & Government Affairs and Legal Counsel for the Toronto Blue Jays and Rogers Centre. In this role, Michael is involved in providing a wide array of legal and business advice to all organizational departments, including in respect of matters relating to sponsorship, capital projects, marketing, ticketing, privacy, and live events. Michael is responsible for drafting many of the organizations’ key business deals, and advising on strategies to address critical business issues and opportunities. Prior to arriving at his current role, Michael began his career at a national law firm in Toronto where he practiced corporate and commercial law in a diverse range of industries, including sports, music, entertainment, hospitality, and infrastructure. Michael is a 2014 graduate of the Canadian and American Dual Juris Doctor Program at the University of Windsor Faculty of Law and University of Detroit Mercy School of Law.
