Private and Public Law in Motion: A Comparative Exploration of Legal Regimes Conference

Friday, February 7, 2025

A one day conference co-hosted by the Faculties of Law of the Universitas Gadjah Mada (Indonesia) and The University of Windsor (Canada).

The conference committee is inviting legal scholars to submit their expressions of interest to attend this inaugural Conference on Private and Public Comparative Law to be held in Yogyakarta, Indonesia on February 7, 2025.

This conference focuses on the interplay between private and public law in a comparative context, especially between Indonesia, Canada and the USA. By understanding converging systems, contemporary legal interventions will highlight the evolving nature of the relationship between private and public law while emphasizing a global, comparative perspective. By bringing together legal scholars, researches, judges, and legal practitioners in Indonesia, this discussion will explore the dynamic intersections of private and public law, and will aim to foster dialogue on comparative legal approaches, challenges, opportunities, and innovations in both domains. Through examining legal systems, practices, and reforms, attendees will focus on how comparative legal analysis can offer new insights into contemporary legal challenges within specific jurisdictions and regimes.
