Sports Law Lecture Series with Rachel Wong '21

Rachel A. Wong graduated from the University of Windsor, Faculty of Law. She has also obtained course certificates in various niche areas of law from Duke University and completed an Honours Bachelor of Arts with Distinction at the University of Toronto in Political Science, American Studies and Fine Art History.  Rachel was the Founder/Owner of Rachel W Media where she represented and contracted out professional services to corporations, small businesses, and high-profile individuals around the world. Rachel’s work has been sold through online retailers like Wayfair and featured in several North American, Austrian & British tourism campaigns over the years. Rachel spent several years as a Team Canada athlete where she competed in Karate and medalled in various national and international tournaments. Her athletic interests inspired many of her other work experiences including her roles as a Skating Instructor, and Program Supervisor at Royal City Soccer. Rachel’s legal work experience includes working as a legal intern for a firm in London, United Kingdom where she drafted research memos, participated in mediations and assisted Barristers in domestic and international family law matters. During law school, Rachel was a member of the International Law Society and served as the Career Services Student Advisor. She also completed an independent research project focusing on the legal effects that the COVID-19 pandemic poses on the entertainment industry. In her spare time Rachel volunteers as a social media advisor to female-owned and operated businesses in the GTA and uses her large online platform to promote causes close to her heart. Rachel also enjoys travelling, fine art, and classic films. 

Rachel summered at the Firm in 2020 and seconded in house at the Toronto International Film Festival.
