The University of Windsor is ready to welcome Ontario high school students and their families to campus for Fall Open House on Saturday, Oct. 25, from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.

Fall Open House is the best opportunity for Future Lancers to explore UWindsor’s campus, connect with professors, chat with current students, and ask questions about programs of interest.

What started as a field trip to farms and wineries for a biology course, ended with job offers and a potential new career path for some students.

Prof. Sherah Vanlaerhoven brought the students from BIOL 4008, Integrated Pest Management course, to five agricultural businesses across Essex County to learn about economic pest control practices.

The Leddy Library Book Sale returns Monday, Oct. 6. The annual sale is open to students, staff, faculty and the general public. 

A large selection of items withdrawn from or unfit for circulation are available. Books will cost $1 and include a wide variety of materials including children’s books. Most items are in well-used condition. 

The books will be available on carts near the information desk. 

The sale is on-going while supplies last.

Lancers Men's Volleyball, Hockey and Football are set for action this weekend.

The University of Windsor’s Lancers football team is set for a thrilling afternoon showdown for their final home game of the year, hosting the Western Mustangs at Alumni Stadium Saturday, Oct. 4 at 1:00 p.m. 

The Lancers look to hand the undefeated Mustangs their first loss of the season. Fans can expect an exciting, high-energy contest with playoff implications on the line.

One in seven women experiences sexual assault at least once during their postsecondary studies in Canada. This is in stark contrast to the fact that by the early 2000s, most sexual assault prevention programs were found to be ineffective.  

This is why psychology professor Charlene Senn developed the sexual assault prevention program called Enhanced Assess, Acknowledge, Act program (EAAA)—known as Flip the script with EAAA®.
