The Universal Bus Pass, commonly known as the U-Pass, is an important student service that provides eligible students with access to local public transit during the academic year. For many students, the U-Pass supports their ability to get to campus, attend classes, go to work placements, access employment opportunities, and stay connected to university life.
As part of the U-Pass program, students have a practical transportation option that makes it easier to move around the city while supporting a more sustainable way to travel through the use of public transit.
Students can access their U-Pass digitally through the Umo Mobility app. For those who prefer to continue using a physical card, that option is also available. Students can find helpful information and step-by-step guidance on how to use the Umo app through OPUS social media and website. They may also contact Transit Windsor directly for support with the app, or transit-related questions.
Students who qualify for an exemption may apply to opt out during the designated opt-out period. Since dates and deadlines may vary by semester, students are encouraged to check the OPUS calendar and follow OPUS on social media at @opusuwindsor for U-Pass information, opt-out deadlines, reminders, updates, and other important student news.
