The Universal Bus Pass (UPass) fee is assessed to all UWindsor students regardless of status full-time, part-time undergraduate or graduate. The bus pass opt-out periods are available during the month of September or January. Since the UPass fee isn't charged in spring/summer, students may opt-in.
The UWSA, OPUS and GSS negotiated a universal student bus pass (UPass) for UWSA, OPUS and GSS students, In order to use UPass, students will need to tap their UPass cards on the readers upon boarding the buses.
The 2025-26 UPass fee is $153.03 (1st/2nd year) & $98.23 (3rd/4th year) per semester. The fee is assessed to students during the Fall or Winter semester with their student ancillary fees. Bus passes for part-time undergraduate students are available for pickup in the Student Centre outside our office starting Sept. 4, 2025 (Fall) or Jan. 6, 2026 (Winter).
Fall opt-out period: September 1 to September 30, 2025
Only available for students whose first semester is Fall.
Winter opt-out period: January 1 to January 31, 2026
Only available for students whose first semester is Winter.

The UPass Program was suspended during the Covid 19 pandemic and the fee wasn't charged to students at that time. Students who're enrolled in Fall 2022/Winter 2023 were charged this fee, as that was when the program resumed.
