Our Department offers a vibrant atmosphere in which cutting-edge research is explored across all areas of Chemistry and Biochemistry. We have recently opened a brand-new Centre Of Research (CORe) building which houses modern research labs in both Materials and Health Sciences, as well as analytical suites comprising state-of-the-art instrumentation for our Health and Materials science research programs. While we have technical support staff to assist occassional users, our graduate students are strongly encouraged to gain hands-on research experience with our instrumentation whether it be IR/Raman spectroscopies, HPLC, multinuclear NMR or X-ray diffraction.
