Ordering Your Academic Transcript

The University of Windsor is pleased to be able to offer one of the most efficient and expedient transcript services in Canada.

It is important to note that if you have an outstanding balance at the University of Windsor, transcript requests will not be processed.

Transcripts may be ordered online by using myUWindsor.

To sign on to myUWindsor you will need your userid and password. If you do not remember either one, please call the Office of the Registrar at (519) 971-3650 Monday to Friday, between the hours of 8:30 am and 4:15 pm.

Fee: $12.00 per transcript requested.

Official Transcripts released to students will be issued in a sealed envelope stamped "Transcript was Issued to Student in Sealed Envelope." It must be received thus to be considered official.

Unofficial Transcripts bear the notation "Issued to Student."

Hold Information Release Periods

Fall Finals - 3rd week in January
Winter Finals - Last week of May
Intersession Finals - 3rd week in July
Summer Finals - 1st week in September
Degree - 1 week after Spring or Fall Convocation

Mail or Courier?

SIS transcript requests are processed overnight. Every attempt is made to send out the transcripts by regular mail the next business day. During periods of high volume in the Office of the Registrar it may take up to seven business days to mail the transcripts.

If you are requesting to have a transcript sent by courier, after submitting the online request, send an email to transcripts@uwindsor.ca.

The subject line must read “Transcript Request” and in the email body indicate your name, student ID# and the request to have your transcript sent by courier. There is an additional courier charge as indicated below, which will be charged to your student account.

Anywhere in the USA $ 20.00
International $50.00

Fax

To request to have a transcript faxed, when ordering the transcript using SIS, enter the fax number on the 1st address line. An additional $10.00 faxing charge will be charged to your student account.

Payment

When ordering transcripts using SIS, costs for transcripts and if applicable courier fees will be billed to your University account. You can confirm and arrange payment of these charges by going to SIS and clicking "View Your Account Details". Payment may be made the following ways:

  1. Web Banking
  2. Debit - in person at Cashier's Office
  3. eCommerce (Credit card only)
  4. Cheque or Money Order - made payable to the University of Windsor, be sure to write your student ID# on the cheque or money order, send to:
