Campus Community Involvement

The input of the campus community has been critical in the process of reviewing the current LMS and selecting the next one. These are the ways the campus community has been involved.

LMS Review Survey (Students)

Undergraduate, graduate, and non-traditional students who were registered for 2021 courses were invited in September 2021 to complete a survey regarding the current LMS.

1670 students participated in this survey.

Upon completing the survey, participants had the option to enter a raffle draw for one (1) Amazon gift card for $250 and five (5) Amazon gift cards for $50. Winners of the prizes are listed in the December 17, 2021 Daily News article.

347 faculty and staff participated in this survey.

Upon completing the survey, participants had the option to enter a raffle draw for one (1) Amazon gift card for $250 and five (5) Amazon gift cards for $50. Winners of the prizes are listed in the December 17, 2021 Daily News article.

Vendor Presentations

The campus community was invited to provide input regarding the candidates vying for the opportunity to be the University of Windsor’s next generation Learning Management System (LMS) during their public presentations of their products on March 2nd and 3rd of 2022. The evaluation team received 99 completed feedback surveys following the vendor presentations. Thank you to all who viewed the vendor presentations and provided feedback afterwards.

Sandbox User Testing

LMS Sandboxes were available from March 14 through April 3, 2022 to the campus community to test and provide feedback through evaluation surveys. Thank you to the over 750 people who requested at least one sandbox account and who took the time to test one or more of the vendor sandboxes and provide their input. Congratulations to all the winners of the sandbox testing appreciation prizes, including Sirinart Ananvoranich, winner of the grand prize of the latest 10.5 Samsung Galaxy tablet.

Focus Groups

The instructor/staff and student focus groups have taken place. Thank you to the eight students (four graduate and four undergraduate), nine faculty and three staff members who participated to discuss equity, diversity and inclusion, Indigeneity, and accessibility as these relate to the vendors’ products.
