Go Code Girl

The University of Windsor’s Faculty of Engineering will once again be hosting our free Go Code Girl event for girls and non-binary youth in grades 7 to 11 on Saturday, May 3rd from 8:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. at our Centre for Engineering Innovation (CEI) building at the University of Windsor campus! Join us for an exciting day of coding and creativity at UWindsor Engineering’s annual Go Code Girl event, sponsored by the Ontario Network of Women in Engineering (ONWiE).

Participants will explore the world of engineering with hands-on activities. The activity this year is to learn to program using Scratch and design and code a virtual pet, as well as other tasks, in our CEI Computer labs. Guided by UWindsor Engineering mentors, participants will be introduced to programming through a fun, interactive activity that is applicable to engineering and can lead to discovering real-life applications of Electrical and Computer Engineering.
