September 6 - Labour Day (University closed)

September 7 - Faculty of Law: First day of Fall classes

September 9 - First day of Fall term 2021 classes (excluding Law)

September 20 - Faculty of Law: Last Day to Add/Drop Fall Classes in Law

September 22 -  Academic Add/Drop: Last day for late registration & changes for Fall 2021 courses

September 22 - Graduate students in Course-Based programs: Last day for full refund and deposit refund based on Visa Denial for Fall 2021

September 23 - Final oral defense deadline for Fall Graduation 2021:  

Last day for the final oral defense of dissertations, theses and major papers for Fall Graduation 2021.  Review defense requirements and download a Timeline summary for Fall graduation 2021 (PDF).

Students who are defending in Fall 2021 must be registered  for Fall term 2021 prior to the final oral defense. Review the registration requirements for students in research programs who are defending and/or depositing.

September 23 - Format checking deadline for Phase I and for Fall 2021 convocation:

September 30 - Deposit deadline for Phase I and for Fall 2021 convocation:

Students completing the deposit must be registered for Fall 2021 - review the registration requirements for students in research programs who are defending and/or depositing.

October 6 - Financial Drop Date for Fall semester

October 7 - format checking deadline for Phase II:

Last day to submit for format checking dissertations, theses and major papers to Graduate Studies, for students who are planning to meet the Phase II deposit deadline of October 14th, for 50% tuition refund for Fall term 2021.

October  9-17 - Reading Week

October 11 - Thanksgiving Day (University closed)

October 14 - Phase II deposit deadline for Fall term 2021:

Last day for completion of all degree requirements, including all Steps of the final submission (deposit) of dissertations, theses and major papers to Graduate Studies, under Phase II (50% tuition refund) of the tuition fee refund policy for the Fall term 2021.

November 5, 2021Fall 2021 convocation

November 26 - Last day to send a doctoral dissertation to the PhD External Examiner for a January 2022 defense. 

December 3 - Faculty of Law: Last Day of Classes

December 6 - REVISED: Last Day to Voluntarily Withdraw through regular drop method for Fall 2021 courses

December 8 - Last Day of Fall 2021 Classes (except Law)

December 11-21 - Final Exam Period for Fall 2021 (excluding Education & JD Law)

December 23rd, 2021 to January 2nd, 2022 - University Offices closed for December Holiday recess.
