In conjunction with the Detroit River Project and the Center for Education Design, Evaluation, and Research at the University of Michigan,
the Department of History at the University of Windsor would like to invite you to celebrate Local History at this upcoming symposium.

Presenting the Past to the Public: A Symposium on Race, Slavery, Resistance, and Identity in the Detroit River Borderland

PosterThe event will include four student-led presentations,
a light lunch, and a panel discussion on
“Teaching Local History in Dynamic Learning Environments.”

This symposium has been supported by the Social Sciences and Humanities Research Council,
the University of Windsor, and the Motor City Community Credit Union.
