Active Maintenance

Monsido Maintenance, Sunday, Dec. 3, 4 a.m. to Noon
Monsido will perform scheduled database maintenance on Sunday, December 3 from 4 a.m. to noon. During this time, web content editors may be unable to log into the Monsido application or experience intermittent outages. We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause.
Completed - UWinsite Student Maintenance – Tuesday, August 29, starting at 3:30 p.m.

COMPLETED - Maintenance will be performed on UWinsite Student to address the performance issue. The system remains available, but should you lose connectivity, please log in again and your services will be restored.  

You may need to clear your web browser's cache. Find a knowledge base article about clearing your cache.

Firewall maintenance Tues Aug 29 6:00-8:00am

IT Services will be performing optimization work on the campus firewalls Tuesday August 29 between 6:00am and 8:00am. This work is being done to improve security and align configuration with vendor best-practices. During this time, access to certain resources that require GlobalProtect may be blocked.

Completed - UWinsite Student Maintenance - early Thursday, Aug 10

COMPLETED - Maintenance will be performed on UWinsite Student between 6 and 8 a.m. on Thursday, August 10. However, the system is available. Should you lose connectivity, please log in again and your services will be restored.

Change My Security Questions Update

Starting Tuesday, July 25, 2023, to add another layer of protection to the University network from cybersecurity threats, we are enhancing security to the "Change My Security Questions" feature in UWin Account Services. When a security question change is requested, a one-time code will be emailed to the user's University email address (UWinID@uwindsor.ca). This code must be entered into the Account Services screen within a few minutes before the Change Questions form is displayed. Users who are unable to complete the email challenge should contact the IT Service Desk for assistance.

Completed - Server Maintenance to Interrupt Services, Thurs, July 6, from 6 a.m. to 1 p.m.

COMPLETED - As part of the University’s Server Modernization Project. Maintenance will again take place on Thursday, July 6, 2023, from 6 a.m. to 1 p.m. 

Some of the unavailable systems, services and applications during the maintenance window include: 

  • UWinsite Student 
  • My Attendance 
  • Online or In-Person permit purchase or ticket payment   
  • UwinCard for use at the libraries 
  • eGAS (graduate applications) 
  • eCV (electronic CV system) 

If affected systems are restored earlier than 1 p.m. on the maintenance day, their status will be updated on the affected systems & services webpage. 

Some of the systems, services and applications that will be available during maintenance window include: 

  • Internet (wired and wireless) 
  • Brightspace 
  • Microsoft 365 applications including Outlook Email, Calendar, Teams, 
  • OneDrive, & SharePoint Sites 
  • The University websites, uwindsor.ca & future.uwindsor.ca 
  • UWindsor Self-Service Client Portal 
  • UwinCARD for use at food services
