Community Legal Aid Staff
The Office Administrator, Law Clerk at Community Legal Aid coordinates the day-to-day operations of the clinic, ensuring the efficient delivery of legal services to clients and the smooth functioning of the office environment. They oversee administrative operations, office procurement, records management, client intake and scheduling processes, and financial administration, including trust account management and monthly reconciliations. They play a key role in developing and implementing office policies, procedures, and health and safety practices, serving as the clinic’s Health & Safety Officer. They support staff, students, and Review Counsel by managing correspondence, maintaining electronic and physical filing systems, preparing legal documents, and facilitating commissioner and notarization services. Through strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and commitment to operational excellence, the Office Administrator and Law Clerk helps ensure continuity, compliance, and high-quality service delivery within the clinic.
The Receptionist and Law Clerk at Community Legal Aid provides reception services to clients and the general public. She schedules appointments, maintains the electronic calendar, responds to phone calls, emails and directs calls. Also while assessing the financial and subject matter eligibility for new clients and making appropriate referrals to other legal and community services. She performs conflict checks on all clients and opponents on potential files. Prepares notarizations of documents and commission of affidavits and statutory declarations. Responds to voicemail messages and distributes messages to relevant staff and students. Monitors the Community Legal Aid email inbox daily and forwards correspondence and communications to appropriate staff and students; print and saving to client electronic files and physical files. Type, edit, draft, copy and transcribe various correspondence and documents. Lastly, prepare and maintain physical client files, including closure of files and prepare for offsite storage as required.
Matthew obtained his Juris Doctor from the University of Windsor in the spring of 2026 and is currently a licensing candidate with the Law Society of Ontario. He has a strong interest in public interest work and has advocated before the Landlord and Tenant Board as well as the Ontario Court of Justice.

Jagdeep Brar
Jagdeep Brar is a group leader at Community Legal Aid. In this role, Jagdeep assists with client intakes, legal research, and the drafting of correspondence across a wide range of practice areas. In 2024, he graduated with an Honours Bachelor of Applied Sciences in Justice Studies from the University of Guelph-Humber, completing his studies with distinction. He is deeply passionate about access to justice and the legal empowerment of marginalized communities and looks forward to building upon his professional development this summer with Community Legal Aid.
David Faltas
David Faltas is a group leader at CLA and previously volunteered as a caseworker for two semesters. He has experience assisting clients with landlord and tenant disputes, criminal matters, and family law matters. In 2024, David graduated from the Schulich School of Business at York University with a Bachelor of Business Administration, specializing in Accounting and Marketing. Prior to law school, he worked in accounting, but his passion for advocacy led him to pursue a legal career. He is currently pursuing a Dual J.D. through the University of Windsor and the University of Detroit Mercy. David is passionate about helping marginalized members of the community access justice, advocating for individuals who may struggle to speak for themselves, and making legal information more accessible and understandable to the public.
Taleen Kasbarian
Taleen Kasbarian is a Juris Doctor candidate at the University of Windsor Faculty of Law, with an expected graduation year of 2028. She earned her Honours Bachelor of Arts in Law & Society, with a Minor in Marketing, from York University, where she was a varsity athlete on the York University Women's Soccer Team. Taleen has a strong interest in Labour and Employment Law and Civil Litigation, and a passion for advocacy. Outside of her legal studies, she enjoys playing soccer and staying active in her community.
Peter Koutsis
Peter Koutsis joined CLA as a summer caseworker in May. Before attending Windsor Law, Peter received an Honours Bachelor of Arts, majoring in History and Political Science from the University of Toronto. After graduating, Peter attended University College London, where he received a Master's degree in Legal and Political Theory. Peter is passionate about social justice, and working toward reducing the inequalities in our legal system by providing legal aid to those who cannot afford to hire a lawyer. Peter is interested in employment law, landlord and tenant disputes, and criminal law.
Adrian Mashhadi
Adrian Mashhadi is a group leader at Community Legal Aid. Adrian has represented CLA clients at the Ontario Court of Justice. He is passionate about helping under-served people and is especially interested in the areas of housing, consumer protection, and criminal law. In 2024, Adrian graduated with a Bachelor of Arts with Distinction in political science and minoring in legal studies from Simon Fraser University. Being from south coast British Columbia, Adrian enjoys hiking. In his free time, he also plays the clarinet and communicates via ham radio. He uses his ham radio skills for public service as volunteer support communications for emergencies and for public events. As well, he has on several occasions made contacts with astronauts on the International Space Station.
Colin McNulty
Colin McNulty spent his childhood in rural Wisconsin, USA. At age 18, he received his naturalization as a Canadian citizen after being accepted to the University of British Columbia: Bachelor's of Arts program. In 2022, he graduated from UBC with a major in sociology and a minor in anthropology. During that period, he served as a frontline grocery store worker during the height of the COVID-19 pandemic. His passion for fighting against legal injustice sparked during a dispute with his former landlords over an illegal rent increase. After several months of correspondence and arbitration, the landlords backed down after he and his roommate applied the legal advice they received from a legal aid organization. Presently, Colin serves at CLA to pay that assistance forward.
Keegan O'Sullivan
Keegan O’Sullivan is a group leader with Community Legal Aid. Keegan engages directly with Community Legal Aid clients in representing them through their legal issues. He is passionate about providing legal services to those in the Windsor-Essex community who cannot afford legal representation. He is also passionate about building, maintaining, and strengthening the relationships that Community Legal Aid has with the Windsor courts and other community services and stakeholders.
Shane Price
Shane Price is a Juris Doctor candidate at the University of Windsor and a group leader with Community Legal Aid ("CLA"). At CLA, Shane represents clients before the Ontario Court of Justice and Landlord and Tenant Board, manages client files, and collaborates closely with supervising lawyers on strategy and procedure. In 2024, he graduated from Carleton University with a Bachelor of Arts (Honours) in Law, Policy, and Government with High Distinction. Outside of law school, Shane balances his studies with part-time work at Stellantis and enjoys running, golfing, and playing hockey.
Hamza Saeed
Hamza Saeed is a Wills & Estates group leader. In this role, Hamza assists with the administration of Wills and Power of Attorney agreements, as well as assisting with Community Legal Aid's small estate litigation practice. In 2024, he graduated with an Honours Bachelor of Arts from McMaster University, majoring in Justice, Political Philosophy & Law. Hamza is a current 2L student at the University of Windsor, Faculty of Law, and expects to graduate in Winter 2027. He is passionate about providing legal assistance to underprivileged individuals and strives to build upon his professional development this summer with Community Legal Aid.
Jenna Taghikani
Jenna Taghikhani is a current summer student with CLA. In 2025, she graduated Magna Cum Laude from the University of Indianapolis with majors in psychology and criminal justice. Jenna is a longtime athlete, playing NCAA soccer during her undergraduate degree, and maintaining an interest in running. She looks to build on her legal education this summer to eventually become a zealous advocate as a criminal defence attorney.
Ethan Tion
Ethan Tion is a third year law student at the University of Windsor. He is a former Masters Student of Philosophy at McMaster University. He has a passion for public service and poverty law that was fostered by eight years of working in Public Housing and Immigrant Support Services. Ethan aspires to pursue a legal career in employee side employment law.
Matthew Wedler
Matthew Wedler graduated from Brock University in 2025 with a Bachelor of Arts in Critical Criminology. He also completed the Law Plus program at Brock University, where he volunteered with the Crown Attorney's Office in St. Catharines. Matthew's passion for advocacy began during his time serving as a union steward for the UFCW Locals 175 & 633. Throughout his first year of law school, Matthew has developed particular interests in employment, housing, and criminal law. Matthew is eager to assist those in the Windsor-Essex region while expanding his professional development with Community Legal Aid.
Jiangnan Yi
Jiangnan Yi is a 2L JD candidate at the University of Windsor Faculty of Law and a group leader with Community Legal Aid. His work focuses on criminal law, landlord and tenant matters, and provincial offences. He is committed to access to justice and community-based legal services.
