For six years WE-SPARK Health Institute has consistently delivered outcomes that positively impact the health of our community, and it shows in their 2024-2025 Impact Report

Forming in 2019, WE-SPARK quickly became a leader in fostering interdisciplinary collaboration, driving innovation, and improving health outcomes through research.

The University of Windsor’s Humanities Research Group (HRG) is once again bringing national attention to campus, hosting an event in partnership with CBC Ideas that will broadcast across Canada and beyond.

The campus community is invited to Musa al-Gharbi's lecture, We Have Never Been Woke: Symbolic Capitalists and The Cultural Contradictions of a New Elite, Thursday Sept. 25 at the SoCA Armouries Performance Hall, 37 University Avenue East.

The University of Windsor has officially renewed its Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with the University of Windsor Alumni Association, reaffirming a collaborative commitment to support and engage graduates in meaningful ways.

A signing ceremony on Wednesday, August 27 included former University President Robert Gordon and Alumni Association President Dorothy Leung.

The renewed agreement strengthens shared priorities that enrich the student experience, deepen alumni engagement, and build lasting connections that contribute to the University’s success and legacy.

Organizers of the third annual #IAmSahraBulle conference are inviting proposals from facilitators, educators, artists, storytellers and creative leaders to host workshops at the 2025 event, taking place Nov. 26. 

Established in honour of University of Windsor student Sahra Bulle, a victim of gender-based violence, the conference fosters dialogue, education and action to end violence in all its forms. It brings together survivors, youth leaders, educators, frontline workers and advocates.

As urban areas continue to expand, sustainable and affordable housing remains a critical challenge for municipalities across Ontario. 

A new three-year partnership between the Municipality of Lakeshore and the University of Windsor’s Centre for Cities (C4C) at Windsor Law is aiming to make future growth more equitable and accessible through a project called Horizons.

The University of Windsor’s Faculty of Law will host a global conference on Sept. 5 examining the evolving legal and business dynamics within the entrepreneurship ecosystem.

The inaugural Law and Entrepreneurship Conference will bring together scholars, legal experts and business leaders to explore critical issues affecting entrepreneurial ventures in the Windsor-Detroit region and beyond. 

Mitacs Globalink interns advance research and cross-cultural collaboration at UWindsor

This summer, the University of Windsor welcomed a cohort of top international undergraduate students through the Mitacs Globalink Research Internship (GRI) program, connecting global talent with local research expertise. 

At UWindsor, the interns worked on a diverse set of projects across health, engineering, sustainability and the social sciences. Topics ranged from quantum machine learning and biosensor development to smart infrastructure design and the experiences of international students in Canada.

The University of Windsor’s Career Centre is once again inviting hosts to take part in the Job Shadow Program. 

The initiative is designed to give students a first-hand look at life in the workplace. 

Held during Reading Week in both the fall and winter semesters, the program provides opportunities for working professionals to share their insight and knowledge with current students.
