One-time only recipient awarded annually; value: $775, applied towards tuition remission. This award was established in 1996 in memory of Professor Ken Long, who, while serving both as Dean of Students and as a faculty member of the English Department, exhibited not only a concern for all students but displayed a special affinity for part-time students. The recipient must be registered as a part-time student in the Department of English Language, Literature, & Creative Writing. If there is no qualified English major eligible, it will then be open to students in the Department of Languages, Literatures and Cultures. The successful applicant must also have completed a minimum of ten courses on a part-time basis at the University of Windsor and possess a minimum GPA (Major Average) of 70% This award may not be combined with any other OPUS awards.
