Katrina Hermle

 

B.A. Law & Politics, Thesis (2021)

Katrina graduated from the Political Science, Law ,and Politics program with a thesis in 2021. She is currently a law student at Lincoln Alexander School of Law. During her undergraduate degree, Katrina was involved in many student organizations and extracurricular activities during her undergraduate degree including the Outstanding Scholars Program, Walksafe, the Food Pantry, the Reading Liberty Group, OHREA’s accessible communication and technology committee, the UWill Discover Conference, and the Residence and Food Services Advisory Board. Katrina earned the Lead Scholars Gold Medallion for her extensive involvement on campus. Additionally, during her undergraduate degree, Katrina volunteered at various non-for-profit organizations including the Hospice of Windsor and Essex County and the Windsor-Essex Compassionate Care Community.

As a disabled individual, Katrina is passionate about disability rights issues, including raising awareness about accessibility-related issues, increasing access to justice for individuals with disabilities and fighting against ableism. In the future, Katrina hopes to pursue a career in policy-making or in government. In her spare time, Katrina enjoys reading, trying new restaurants, learning French, traveling, and going for long walks
