Dr. Masoud Akhshik is a convergence scientist, applied research leader, and entrepreneur specializing in artificial intelligence-driven mobility, energy, and environmental systems. He holds dual PhDs in Environmental Studies and Nanobiotechnology, along with postdoctoral training in AI and robotics, enabling him to bridge advanced technologies with real-world deployment across transportation and energy infrastructure.
His work focuses on automotive and mobility technologies, including electric and intelligent vehicles, energy storage systems, and AI-enabled digital twins, with an emphasis on improving efficiency, safety, and sustainability. He has led multidisciplinary research programs, secured over $3 million in competitive funding, and published widely in areas such as sustainable materials and transportation systems.
Currently, Dr. Akhshik contributes to research partnerships and innovation initiatives, supporting collaboration between academia, industry, and government to accelerate the adoption of advanced technologies and drive impactful, real-world solutions.
About This Role
As a Research Partnership Coordinator, I support the development and management of collaborative research and innovation initiatives by connecting industry, academic, and public-sector partners. My role focuses on enabling technology-driven projects, facilitating partnerships, and advancing applied research programs in areas such as mobility, energy, and intelligent systems.
What I Do on the Team
- Facilitate partnerships between industry, academia, and government to drive applied research and innovation.
- Support the development and execution of funded research programs and collaborative projects.
- Identify opportunities for technology transfer, commercialization, and industry engagement.
- Coordinate stakeholder communication, events, and partnership activities.
- Contribute to advancing initiatives in smart mobility, energy systems, and emerging technologies.
