The Energy Conversion Centre generates approximately 40 per cent of the University's total energy requirements on site, at 660 Patricia Street. The plant operates 24 hours a day, seven days a week.

The department also services and maintains all HVAC and refrigeration equipment on campus.

Purchased Energy

The balance of the University's energy requirements is purchased from traditional carriers at considerable cost.

Turning off lights and appliances when they are not in use reduces the volume of energy the University must purchase.

Campus energy consumption is published on the Energy Management dashboard.
