My work examines human-machine interaction in transportation and manufacturing. I leverage my background in cognitive science to understand how attention functions when allocated to multiple activities. I conduct ergonomic assessments of user interfaces, and contribute to the development of adaptive, user-centered systems. I serve as an expert witness in cases involving distracted driving and driver interaction with vehicle technology.
Areas of Research Interest
- Human Factors in Manufacturing and Transportation
- Workload Assessment
- User-Centered Design
