I began working at the University of Windsor in July 2000.  In that time, I have served as Department Head and Graduate Chair.

My research interests cover a range of topics including municipal politics, public transit, and immigration in Canada. In collaboration with Bill Anderson, I have also researched and published a book on the Canada-U.S. border which examined the impact of the first Trump presidency on the border and Canada-U.S. relations.

My latest book, forthcoming from the University of Toronto Press, is Campus to Career: Your Guide to the Working World. This book examines job searching and is designed to help university students secure a job and career following their graduation from university.

My earlier research focused on the place and importance of local government within the European Union both as single case studies and in comparative perspective.
