About This Role
My role within the Office of the Vice-President, Research and Innovation (OVPRI) team is to provide professional, confidential, executive level administrative support to senior leadership. Including the Vice-President, Research and Innovation Dr. Shanthi Johnson, to ensure administrative and financial management functions necessary for OVPRI operations are met effectively and efficiently. I am the first point of contact for the OVPRI, I am responsible for scheduling and maintaining internal and external calendar meetings for the VP. I assist in all VPRI administrative and office-related tasks, and coordinate efforts alongside Research and Innovation staff, administration, and other faculty members.
What I Do on the Team
- Maintaining executive leader calendars to schedule and coordinate any appointments or meetings, as well as preparing and distributing the agenda and meeting minutes.
- Coordinating the review and signing of complex documents by authorized executives in a time sensitive manner.
- Supporting purchases on behalf of OVPRI.
- Monitoring and ordering office supplies, maintaining subscriptions and scheduling equipment maintenance as needed.
