Vector Scholarship in AI (2023-24) - Open Competition now open - School of Computer Science

The School of Computer Science (SCS) is pleased to announce that the following scholarship opportunity is now available to students entering our full-time master’s program in an AI-related field for the 2023-24 academic year (Spring 2023, Fall 2023, or Winter 2024). 
 

Vector Scholarship in AI (2023-24) - Open Competition is now open. 

The Vector Scholarship in Artificial Intelligence is a merit-based entrance award that recognizes top candidates pursuing AI-related studies in master’s programs recognized by the Vector Institute or who are following an individualized study path that is demonstrably AI-focused. Scholarships are valued at $17,500 CAD for one full year of study at an Ontario university. Both domestic and international students with first-class standing (minimum A- in their last two years of full-time study) are eligible for consideration.  
 
SCS DEADLINE: In order to be nominated by the School of Computer Science, University of Windsor, a complete application must be submitted to csgradinfo@uwindsor.ca by:  Friday March 3, 2023 at 4:00pm.

Documentation required

1. Copies of all up-to-date transcripts (undergraduate and graduate, if applicable); 
(Students who submit unofficial transcripts will be required to submit official transcripts if they are awarded the Vector Scholarship.)
2. Two references using the Referee Form, at least one of which is academic; the template is provided below. 
3. An up-to-date one to two-page CV; 
4. A 250-word statement outlining your reason for pursuing a master’s in AI, relevant AI-related experience, and career aspirations; template provided below. 
5. Self-Identification Form; template provided below. 
6. If your GPA in the last two years of study is below A-, the rationale for consideration of your nomination (i.e. describing extenuating circumstances) - use the student statement template.
