Abstract

5G networks will play a critical role in the operations of the society across various industries including automotive, utility, manufacturing, and healthcare. Thus, building trustworthiness in the security of 5G is of a paramount importance. To accommodate different needs in terms of performance and security, 5G leverages technologies such as NFV and SDN to enable on-demand and cost-effective delivery of "tailored" network services. In this talk, I will provide a brief overview on NFV/SDN and 5G networks and how security compliance can increase trustworthiness of 5G. Then, I will present recent research activities in our industrial collaboration with Concordia university.
