Abstract

This workshop provides an introductory overview of Unity as a tool for developing interactive automotive UI/UX prototypes. The session is designed for students with no prior experience in Unity and focuses on understanding its role in automotive infotainment and human–machine interface (HMI) design. Participants will be introduced to the Unity Editor environment, core UI components, and a basic workflow for building and interacting with user interface elements. The workshop also outlines how Unity integrates into the Automotive Innovation Challenge (AIC) project pipeline and highlights recommended learning resources for further exploration. By the end of the session, students will have a clear understanding of how Unity can be used to transform automotive UI/UX concepts into interactive prototypes.
