Dr. Stephen Bostock is head of the Learning Development Unit at Keele University in the United Kingdom. The educational development unit Dr. Bostock oversees provides university faculty development in teaching and supervision, supports the development of multimedia, manages the institutional virtual learning environment, and contributes to policy development. Stephen began his academic career as a biologist 30 years ago and has used technology in teaching a variety of subjects since. Dr. Bostock is the programme director of Keele's MA in Learning and Teaching in Higher Education, a Fellow of his professional body the Staff and Educational Development Association (SEDA), and a UK National Teaching Fellow. In 2007 he authored 'e-Teaching: Engaging Learners through Technology', a SEDA Paper. He is chair of SEDA's Professional Development Framework Committee and a member of its Executive Committee.
