International Student Orientation

The International Student Centre (ISC) is dedicated to providing continuous support to help UWindsor international students succeed. Our friendly, knowledgeable, and supportive staff are here to help you every step of the way as you transition into a new life in Canada and become a part of the UWindsor community. Whether you are choosing to study online in Canada or from your home country, we will do everything we can to make you feel welcome.

Studying in a new country and a new educational system can be both exciting and overwhelming. The International Student Centre offers a variety of programs to help you meet new friends, adjust to a new culture, and integrate into the UWindsor community whether online or in person.

  • Information Session about Social Insurance Number (Thursday, June 4, 2020 at 9am EST)

An Officer from Service Canada will provide information about the special measures about working in Canada as an international student, applying for a Social Insurance Number and looking for jobs in Canada. 

  • International Student Welcom Session (Thursday, June 11, 2020 at 9am EST)

During the welcome session, you will meet the International Student Centre (ISC) staff and be prepared with your new acadmeic and social experience at the University of Windsor. If you are traveling to Canada, you will also learn about the information about your visa, arrival procedures, and quarantine requirements. 

  • International Student Orientation Sessions (Saturday, July 4 & Sunday, July 5, 2020 at 9am EST)

Whether you are studying in Canda or from home, ou should attend both sessions:

On Saturday, July 4, 2020, you will meet the team from the Faculty of Engineering, learn about the immigration and visa information, understand the academic requirements in order to successfully complete your program at the University of Windsor.

On Saturday, July 5, 2020, you will have the opportunity to learn about Canadian workplace culture and job searching, various services at the University of Windsor, and tips that will help you succeed in your first semester.
