First point of contact for general inquiries (in-person/phone/email) and administrative support related to all programs under the Ontario Student Assistance Program (OSAP).

Primary administrative responsibility for:

- Part-time OSAP Program
- Out of Province Student Assistance
- Continuation of Interest-Free Status

When you call or email our office, your inquiry will be handled by one of our Financial Aid Assistants according to your last name (A-F, G-N, O-Z).

If your request requires specialized support, one of our Financial Aid Specialists will work with you according to your last name (A-F, G-N, O-Z).

Primary administrative responsibility:

- Bursary for Students with Disabilities administration
- Financial Hardship Reviews
- General need-based assistance allocations
- OSAP administration/appeals

Our Financial Aid Administrator will handle matters escalated by the Financial Aid Specialist in addition to:

  • Overall administration of the Ontario Student Assistance Program.
  • Appeals related to OSAP restrictions and OSAP eligibility.
  • Confirmation of Enrolment process.

Our Student Awards Coordinator is responsible for:

  • Administration of Undergraduate Scholarships and Bursaries
  • Coordination of Departmental Scholarships and Donor Outreach.

Our Student Awards Specialist is responsible for: 

  • Supports our In-course and Entrance award cycle
  • International Student Support and Trust Account Management.

Our Student Award Administrator is responsible for:

  • Administration of the Undergraduate Scholarship and Awards Program.
  • Administration of the U.S. Department of Education's Federal Student Aid Program.

Jacqueline Brathwaite

  • Office management, government student aid administration.
  • External/community/campus liaison.

Marian Doll - ext. 3300

  • Management, organization and development of staff and programs delivered by Student Awards & Financial Aid
  • External/community/campus liaison.

If you feel that you need to talk to someone about your situation, please take the following steps:

1) Try asking your question using ask.uwindsor.ca. We have many knowledge base articles that might be able to assist you with your question.

2) Log on to ask.uwindsor.ca to submit a service request and a Student Awards or Financial Aid Representative will respond to your inquiry as soon as possible.

3) Call our office during our phone service hours. A Student Award or Financial Aid Representative may be able to resolve your issue over the phone.

4) If options 1) through 3) do not resolve your issue, we will schedule you a virtual Teams meeting/appointment with a Student Awards or Financial Aid Specialist for a time that is mutually convenient.

 

UWinAward Profile/Application Support

Here is the schedule for our virtual drop-in sessions available for students who require assistance with their UWinAward Profile/Application for bursary and scholarship applications.

Important Notes:

  • We will attempt to return messages and service requests within 2 business days where possible.  In September, January & May however, our response time may be closer to 7-10 business days.

  • Please do not leave/send multiple messages/emails as this will delay our response time.
