Latest Updates

The University of Windsor is currently conducting Phase I of its internal consultation for the Anti-Racism Action Plan. This phase engages key campus stakeholders who play pivotal roles in the university’s operations and culture to share the plan’s vision, gather feedback, and address concerns.

The goal is to ensure alignment with university priorities and build accountability for effective implementation. Following this, consultations will expand to broader internal and external communities.

We remain committed to transparency and inclusive dialogue as we advance this important work. Stay tuned for further updates.

The ARAP is a cascading plan derived from our People, Equity, and Inclusion (PE&I) Strategy, which is rooted in the University’s Aspire Strategic Plan. The PE&I Strategy provides a clear roadmap for dismantling systemic barriers and creating a campus culture where everyone can thrive. At its core, the ARAP embodies our commitment to making anti-racism a guiding principle in everything we do.

The ARAP aligns with the principles and directives of Bill 166: Strengthening Accountability and Student Supports Act. This legislation emphasizes the importance of accountability, transparency, and student well-being, all of which are central to our anti-racism efforts. By integrating the goals of Bill 166 into the ARAP, we are reinforcing our commitment to creating a campus environment that is not only inclusive but also accountable to the needs of our students and the broader community.

The ARAP works in harmony with other crucial University frameworks, including:

Together, these frameworks create a foundation for a physically and psychologically safe environment where all members of our community can live, learn, work, and thrive.
